Hello

I'm Laura, the face behind White Heather Florals. I live in Cheshire with my husband, baby daughter and two ragdoll cats. I've loved flowers and spending time in the garden for as long as I can remember, inspired by my mum and my gran's beautiful gardens. Gardening led to floristry as a creative outlet and over the past few years I've completed various floristry courses. In 2023 I decided to take my love of floristry to the next step and started White Heather Florals.

I named my business White Heather Florals as a nod to my Scottish roots. In Scottish folklore, white heather is considered a symbol of good luck and protection, with brides often carrying it down the aisle. It also reflects my floristry style which takes inspiration from nature and the seasons.

Ethos

I want to be as sustainable as possible in my business and in recent years I have gained a greater awareness of the impact of the floristry industry on the environment. I therefore never use floral foam and will try to use British (and ideally locally grown) flowers wherever possible. I am always learning and will keep working to become more sustainable.

This approach also ensures my designs reflect the garden and seasons, there's always something beautiful in the garden. I'm also working on growing my own flowers in our new garden so I can add homegrown treasures to your arrangements. I can't wait to share my love of flowers with you and bring your floral vision to life.
